MY TEACHERS This is a short overview about my teachers in Arnis/Eskrima. I will keep this in english so their discription about them self are the orignial text. Always Maraming Salamat to my teachers, who accepted me as their student and gave me the opportunity to be a part the inner circle. You teached me a lot about Filipino Martial Arts, but far more about the culture, which is a very important part to understand the art it self. As a "Askal" a mixbreed pinoy, you really let me love the filipino blood inside of me. I'am very thankful that you guys completed me in that manner. So I will do my best to keep my filipino heritage alive.

FERDINAND EMMANUEL Y. "BOBOT" GAYOLES

• born: 1964
• living: Raised primarily in Bacolod City but my occupation is mainly in Bago City, Negros Occidental
• Occupation: I'm a professional teacher and a sugarcane farmer, currently teaching defensive tactics at the University of Negros Occidental- Recolletos and The Sacred Heart Semenary
• Graduate: Colegio de San Agustin, BS Agriculture from University of the Philippines at Los Banos, Masters of Education major in English from the University of San Agustin Iloilo
• Arnis Styles: Yasay Sable, Lapu Lapu Viñas, Tapado, 2nd degree blackbelt Karate, 3rd degree blackbelt Tae kwon do.
• About himself: I enjoy writing poetry and reading history and philosophy books.

RANDY ALVARADO

• born: 1975
• living: Bago City, Negros Occidental
• Occupation: carpenter, lumberjack and teacher in Bago City Collage
• Graduate: Bachelor of Arts major in English and Literature, Master of Arts in English Language.
• Arnis Styles: DE Cuerdas; Lapu-Lapu Viñas, Yasay Sable, Tapado, Alasabate Scencia, Espada y Daga.
• About himself: I believe in the principle that the strengh of Arnis style depends on the fighter, every style is strong but it depends on he fighter to make it stronger. At the end, skill is something but character is everything.
