Talibong

Das Talibong ist im Vergleich zum regulären Bolo ein kleines Stück länger. Die Klingenform im Original ist leicht kopflastig, sodass der Hieb seine volle Kraft am oberen Drittel entfalten kann. Bei dem Aluminium Traningsschwert fällt das Gewicht nicht so stark aus, wie bei einem realen Talibong.

Dieses Modell hat einen sehr persönlichen Hintergrund für mich. Es ist dem Talibong nachempfunden, welches mir mein philippinischer Großvater hinterlassen hat, bevor er verstarb.

Compared to the regular bolo the talibong is a little bit longer. The shape is designed for a heavy-tip so the blade it can develop it’s full power at the first third of the top while chopping. The weight of the aluminium training sword is lower than the one of the real talibong.

This modell has a really personal background for me: the talibong has the same shape like the one which my filipino grandfahther bequeathed to me before he passed away.
